Week One Assignment

Hi everyone! My name is Melanie and I just recently graduated from UConn with my bachelors in Allied Health Sciences, specifically Health Promotion. I am very excited to learn how to work more with computers and electronic media and strengthen my technology skills since they currently are very basic! I shadowed a couple teachers for Biology and they used the smartboard, which I thought was extremely cool and am excited to get the chance to work with it in this classroom. As far as goals that I have for this course, I want to be confident in using different technologies and know how to be able to use them easily. I have been very fortunate to be able to work in the school system during the last couple years with grades Pre-K up to 5th as a paraprofessional. I have also taught as a gymnastics/tumbling instructor for a couple years. As far as things I do outside of school and studying, I like art, including painting, portrait drawing, photography, and building things.
